Nicholas Hofstede is a Project Manager responsible for leading numerous local, national, and international projects with Johnston Marklee. Since joining JML in 2007, Nicholas has directed the design, delivery, and management of many significant cultural and institutional projects including the Honor Fraser Gallery in Culver City, the design for the Poggio Golo Winery in Tuscany, Italy, and the Hut House in Kauai, Hawaii.
He is currently overseeing the new Menil Drawing Institute and Energy House projects for the Menil Foundation in Houston, Texas, a $40 million dollar expansion of the campus, the renovation of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, and the expansion and renovation of the UCLA Graduate Art Studios Building in Los Angeles.
He has been an invited jury critic at numerous schools of architecture. Nicholas received a B.A. in Architecture from University of Minnesota and a Masters in Architecture from Rice University, also attending the Rice School of Architecture in Paris.
