Swiss House

Swiss House Mission Street will unite the Consulate General, Swissnex, Switzerland Tourism, and Switzerland Global Enterprise with one shared front door in the SOMA district of San Francisco. The local neighborhood storefront, with Category A historic designation, embodies global presence and cultural relevance reflecting Swiss values, artistry, and innovation. The environment for Swiss House, visually clear and physically accessible, conveys distinguished Swiss design through an economy of means and minimal structural adaptation. A sustainable approach guides the project development, and includes the adaptive re-use of the historic structure and resilient interior programming to accommodate future transformation, with a priority placed on wellness through the introduction of a daylight-filled shared atrium garden.
